You don't need to switch hosting sites or be a Firstory Hosting user in order to submit your podcast to Firstory's podcast directory. Why aren't verification letters from other platforms showing in my mailbox?
Verification letters are sometimes necessary when listing or performing actions on other platforms. In order to protect our users from spam letter harassment, the Firstory mailbox is the one publicly displayed on your podcast's RSS feed. If you weren't able to receive the verification letter, it may be because your personal mailbox was not displayed. Switching from Manual to Automatic Distribution/ Listing
When you have chosen "Automatic Distribution" for your first time listing, Firstory's system will automatically send out listing applications to major streaming platforms. In order to prevent problems from occurring, we do not recommend you to apply for "Manual Distribution" at this time. Why does my podcast appear on platforms I have not applied for?

Apple Podcasts underwent a major update last June 2021, and an abundant amount of terms and conditions have to be reviewed by creators themselves. To ensure podcaster rights, we've moved Apple Podcasts from Automatic to Manual Distribution. However, we've streamlined the process for our users; so you can still experience a seamless procedure. If you have opted for our Automatic Distribution services, each platform will immediately begin the review process.
