Switching from Manual to Automatic Distribution/ Listing
When you have chosen "Automatic Distribution" for your first time listing, Firstory's system will automatically send out listing applications to major streaming platforms. In order to prevent problems from occurring, we do not recommend you to apply for "Manual Distribution" at this time. However, if you have already done this, the following resolution is recommended:
Applied for Manual Distribution on Apple Podcasts:
The application for automatic distribution cannot be retrieved. Two of the same podcast will then appear on Apple Podcasts. Hence, we recommend that you contact Apple's customer service to request the delisting of one of the duplicates.
The link for each duplicate is different. You may go to Firstory Studio's Dashboard to determine which link was utilized for Automatic Distribution and request for the removal of the other.
Applied for Manual Distribution on Other Platforms:
The podcast will not be duplicated. However, this will prevent our system from capturing the listing's link.
You would have to visit the "Available Platforms" section of the "Distribution" page on your Firstory Studio Dashboard and click the "Edit" button on the upper right corner. Paste the corresponding links and click "Save."

Both Automatic and Manual Distribution require the same amount of processing time. Application for manual distribution will not speed up the process and repeated actions are likely to cause problems. Please keep this in mind before applying.
