Articles on: Distributing your Podcast

Distribute to all podcast platforms

After publishing at least one episode, you can start distributing your show on the different podcast platforms.

**Automatic One-Click Distribution**

In addition to Firstory player, other platforms available for automatic distribution include Spotify, Pocket Casts, and KKBOX. Simply click "Submit" and you're all set!

No need to apply! The system will notify you after successful distribution.

**Manual Distribution**

Platforms with more complicated terms and conditions that need to be reviewed by creators are placed under Manual Distribution. However, we have streamlined the process for you, so simply click on "Start Submission" and follow through the steps!

For detailed submission steps on Apple Podcasts, you may refer to this article.

Simply put, all you have to do for these platforms (Apple Podcasts, Player FM, Stitcher, Podcast Addict, Radio Public, SoundOn) is to enter their podcaster platform (such as Apple Podcasts Connect), add your show, acquire the podcast URL, and paste it back onto Firstory's Distribution page.

Not only does this allow you to put out your show onto their platform and have automatic episode updates; this also lets you experience the full functions of other Firstory podcast-growth tools!

Note: Each platform has its own manual listing process, and some may need time to review your show. Check back regularly on your review progress, as some of them may not notify you of the review status.

**Aggregators**

After successfully submitting your show on Apple Podcasts, a number of other platforms will automatically capture and place your show onto their platforms. We will automatically paste the link for these aggregators. If you've already submitted your show onto these platforms in the past, you may manually paste the link by clicking "Edit."

**Review Time and Process**

The review time and process varies per platform. Succeeding episode uploads after the first one has been released will no longer need to undergo review. If you need to cooperate with a promotion schedule or have to release your episode by a certain date, we recommend that you first upload your initial episode for review 5 to 7 days before your target date.

You don't need to worry about "dummy" episodes or unfinished episodes being discovered. Based on the current podcast recommendation mechanism, episodes and podcasts that have not been promoted on social media and other mediums will unlikely be searched for.

**Removing/ Withdrawing / De-listing from a Platform**

Many directories automatically capture and place shows onto their platforms. This is very common and normal in the podcasting space. However, if you wish to remove your content from these platforms, you may always contact and write to them for removal.
